1. Eligible musicians who are interested to become our members may send an email to info@youthorchestra.hk or use the Contact Us Form at the bottom of the page andgive us the following information (1 a-d):
a. Applicant's Name;
b. Applicant's Email ;
c. Applicant's Contact Phone Number and
d. Music Instrument & Qualifications (e.g. Grades attained).
2. After receiving your infomation, an audition email will be sent to the potential applicant and a payment of *HK$50 application fee is required on the audition date.
* The application fee is non-refundaable no matter the audition is successful or not.
Audition Details
Eligibility:
Applicants who have attained Grade 8 or above in ABRSM exam or equivalent / Applicants who can demonstrate exceptional musical talents at the audition.
Audition Repertoire:
One work of the applicant's own choice (No piano accompaniment is requried).
Membership fee
Monthly miscellaneous fee: **HK$800 per month
**All musicians have to pay for miscellaneous for every season, i.e. every three months, by autopay. Any other payment method will be charged an extra adminstrative fee of HK$100 per month.
Scholarship
Musicians who can demonstrate extreme high level of perfomance skills and exceptional musical talent at the audition will be rewarded with scholarship. The scholarship may subsidize the amount of monthly miscellaneous fee or other further education cost. Past successful recipents of scholarship include highly talented musicians who hold Master Degrees in Music Performance or who passed the FTCL exam or equivalent, and highly gifted musical talents who play horns, violas, cellos and double basses etc.
